1. Independent delivery provider
Delivery is arranged through Convelio under a separately accepted quote and service agreement. RELICT provides the connection and transaction tools. RELICT is not the carrier, freight forwarder, customs broker, warehouse operator, custodian, insurer or delivery guarantor. Convelio and any subcontractors remain responsible for their own services under their agreements and applicable law.
2. Quote and allocation of costs
The delivery arrangements must identify the pickup and delivery locations, packaging service, collection and delivery scope, insurance or declared-value coverage, quoted charges, applicable estimates and any special access requirements. A quotation is not a booking until the required parties and provider accept it. An estimated delivery date is not a guaranteed deadline unless the accepted agreement expressly makes it one.
The Buyer pays the agreed delivery and insurance charges and the Buyer's import duties, taxes and destination charges. The Artist pays charges expressly allocated to the Artist and remains responsible for the Artist's own preparation, documentation, export and legal obligations. Additional charges require the authorization required by the provider agreement; RELICT does not promise to absorb them.
3. Artist's preparation and export duties
The Artist must provide accurate dimensions, weight, medium, value, collection details and condition information; disclose fragile components and special handling needs; make the work available as agreed; and supply lawful export and customs documentation. Packing responsibility must be identified in the accepted quote. The Artist must not substitute inadequate packing where professional packing is agreed.
The Artist should preserve dated photographs of the work and packaging before collection and retain the handover record. Collection must follow the applicable escrow funding confirmation and provider instructions. The Artist must not ship to an address that differs from the accepted eligible destination without a properly accepted transaction amendment.
4. Buyer's destination duties
The Buyer must provide an accurate eligible destination, access information, import information and a person authorized to receive the work. The Buyer must obtain permits and pay charges allocated to the Buyer, cooperate with lawful customs requests and arrange receipt within the agreed delivery conditions. Costs caused by inaccurate information, a refused lawful delivery or failure to meet the Buyer's obligations are borne by the Buyer as provided in the accepted agreement.
Artwork delivery is unavailable to the thirty-two excluded countries in Terms of Use §3. A permitted seller location does not override this buyer and destination restriction.
5. Insurance, title and risk
Any transit insurance must be evidenced by the accepted provider quote or policy, including the insured value, coverage, exclusions, deductible, beneficiary and claim procedure. A displayed insurance option is not a representation that RELICT insures the work or guarantees a claim. The parties must not assume that every loss is covered.
Under the standard Artist–Buyer agreement, the Artist bears transit risk until physical delivery to the Buyer's accepted address and receipt by the Buyer or an authorized recipient. That allocation does not make RELICT responsible for the work, and it does not replace a provider's claim terms. Damage or loss caused by the Buyer's own breach or conduct is allocated as stated in the sale agreement. Title passes under the sale agreement, separately from carrier possession and insurance coverage.
6. Delivery inspection and claims
The Buyer must inspect the packaging and work promptly, record visible exceptions on the delivery record where practicable, retain packaging and photograph any damage or discrepancy. Notify the Artist and the relevant provider promptly within their applicable claim deadlines, and use Escrow.com's dispute or rejection process before the applicable inspection period expires.
A carrier's delivery signature is evidence of receipt; it is not, by itself, the Buyer's acceptance of an undisclosed defect or a different work. Conversely, ignoring an escrow inspection deadline may permit provider disbursement under the provider's rules. The parties remain responsible for preserving their claims.
For non-delivery, the wrong artwork or damage during the Artist's delivery responsibility, the Artist must provide the full Artwork Sale Price refund required by the sale agreement and Returns Policy through escrow. Carrier or insurance claims are handled under the relevant separate agreement. RELICT does not decide, insure or fund those claims. Platform support is available at info@relict.cloud for operation of the Platform only.
