1. Your seller and your agreement
You buy from the Artist identified in the listing and sale agreement. Relict Inc. supplies the RELICT Platform and is not the seller, the Artist's representative, your purchasing agent or a guarantor. The Artist is responsible for statements about the work and for fulfilling the sale agreement. RELICT does not verify or guarantee authenticity, authorship, rights, condition, description, quality or value.
An "Identity verified" label means only that the submitted identity document passed the third-party verification process described in Terms of Use §2. It does not verify authorship or sale rights. A matching artist name is not proof that an account belongs to a particular well-known artist.
2. Eligibility and location
You must have capacity to contract, provide accurate identity and address information and satisfy Escrow.com's requirements. Artwork purchases are not available to buyers resident or established in, or for delivery to, the thirty-two countries listed in Terms of Use §3. Those restrictions apply to billing, residence or establishment information and the actual delivery destination. A forwarding address or intermediary cannot be used to avoid them. Additional restrictions may follow from applicable law or provider availability.
3. Review and acceptance before funding
Before payment, review the Artist's identity and contact details, the work's description and images, condition disclosures, dimensions, medium, provenance statements, price, delivery arrangements, insurance, fees and the selected return option. Ask the Artist about uncertainties in those statements. RELICT support can help with a Platform malfunction but cannot provide an authenticity opinion.
The completed Artist–Buyer Artwork Sale Agreement must contain a fixed snapshot of those terms. You and the Artist must accept the same version before you are asked to fund the transaction. A material change requires both parties' fresh acceptance. Adding a work to a cart, receiving a cost estimate or viewing a reservation does not itself prove that a sale agreement has been concluded or that payment has been made. Any reservation is subject to its displayed expiry and does not transfer title.
4. Price and allocation of charges
You pay the Artwork Sale Price shown in the accepted agreement. That price includes the Artist's 15% Platform Fee, which Escrow.com deducts from the Artist's proceeds only when the sale is completed. You do not pay a separate Platform Fee to RELICT.
You pay Escrow.com's own fees, the accepted Convelio delivery and insurance charges, and import duties, import taxes and destination charges allocated to you. A third-party fee must be identified in the purchase summary or the provider's accepted quote before you commit to it. Currency-conversion, intermediary-bank and transfer charges are governed by the relevant provider. RELICT does not promise that these charges are included in the Artwork Sale Price or waive a provider's charges.
5. Escrow and payment security
Fund the transaction only through the Escrow.com transaction and payment instructions applicable to your purchase. Do not send the Artwork Sale Price to RELICT, an off-platform wallet or a different account supplied in an unverified message. Stripe is not an artwork payment method on RELICT.
Escrow.com's agreement governs its identity checks, funding, inspection period, release of funds, fees and disputes. Read the applicable inspection deadline and act within it; provider rules may permit release after that deadline even without a separate acceptance click. A return option in the sale agreement must be coordinated with the escrow inspection arrangements and is not a promise that the provider automatically holds funds for fifteen days.
All parties can see the transaction's fee allocation. The provider's technical "broker" designation identifies RELICT's Platform Fee recipient role. RELICT does not act as your agent or as the Artist's broker or representative. RELICT cannot promise to reverse a provider's completed disbursement.
6. Delivery, inspection and problems with the work
Delivery is arranged through Convelio under the accepted quote and provider agreement. You must provide an accurate eligible destination, any required import information and a person authorized to receive the work. Inspect packaging and the work promptly on arrival, document any problem with photographs and contact the Artist and relevant provider within the applicable claim and inspection deadlines. Do not confirm satisfactory receipt before completing your inspection.
The Artist must supply the work described in the accepted agreement and meet the obligations allocated to the Artist. For non-delivery, the wrong artwork or damage covered by the sale agreement's delivery obligation, you are entitled to a full refund of the Artwork Sale Price through escrow under the Cancellations and Returns Policy. Notify the Artist and Escrow.com promptly and provide reasonably available evidence. RELICT does not fund that refund or decide the provider's dispute.
7. Returns and claims
There are no voluntary change-of-mind returns by default. A fifteen-day voluntary return is available only if the Artist expressly selected that option in the accepted sale agreement. Buyer-borne expenses, return requirements and the separate non-delivery, wrong-artwork and damage exceptions are set out in the Cancellations and Returns Policy.
Direct claims about the artwork, the Artist's performance or repayment of the Artwork Sale Price to the Artist, using Escrow.com's process where funds or a provider dispute are involved. Direct claims about a provider's own services to that provider. Contact info@relict.cloud for Platform operation or account issues. Contacting RELICT is not a substitute for timely notice to the Artist, Escrow.com or Convelio.
8. Rights and compliance
Purchase of the physical artwork does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights unless the rights owner separately grants them in writing. You are responsible for your own lawful acquisition, import, taxes, permits and use of the work. You must not evade Platform restrictions or induce the Artist to circumvent an accepted transaction. RELICT provides no legal or tax advice.
The Terms of Use govern your relationship and disputes with RELICT, including its role exclusions, liability limits, Delaware law and individual arbitration provisions. Your rights and duties against the Artist arise under the separate sale agreement.
