Citi Wealth Strengthens Investment Platform Leadership

Citi Wealth has appointed Alex Kokolis to the newly created role of head of investments platform experience, according to an internal memo confirmed by a Citi spokesperson. Kokolis is scheduled to join the firm on 8 September 2026, operating out of New York, and will report directly to Keith Glenfield, head of investment solutions.

In this role, Kokolis will work across the investment product teams and alongside wealth intelligence and client segment leaders. His mandate is to keep the platform strategy aligned with broader priorities across the wealth division, reinforcing Citi Wealth's commitment to an open architecture, advice-led model, and client-first approach.

The appointment signals continued investment in the client-facing investment experience at Citi Wealth.

Kokolis joins from MSCI, where he spent six years as global head of the wealth management client segment. There, he oversaw global strategy and implementation of the wealth business, including product development, sales, marketing, technology, and operations. He also shaped go-to-market plans and worked with product leaders on strategic alignment.

With a career spanning more than 25 years in wealth management, Kokolis previously served as head of investment product & platform at Wilmington Trust for three years. Before that, he held a managing director position at UBS in the wealth management advice & platforms product management team for seven years, following several years at Merrill Lynch.

Citi Wealth's Recent Leadership Moves

This appointment follows the announcement earlier this month that Adam Clark will join Citi as wealth planning head, replacing Mike Troth, who had been serving on an interim basis. Clark is scheduled to join in November after completing garden leave, also based in New York.

The consecutive hires underscore Citi Wealth's focus on enhancing its investment and planning capabilities amid a competitive wealth management landscape. Kokolis's experience across product, technology, and client segments positions him to drive improvements in the platform experience, a key differentiator for high-net-worth clients.
