1. Service and entitlement
These terms govern paid and free access to the RELICT API. The selected plan, applicable pricing and accepted order define the permitted workspace or client, features, usage limits and subscription period. An API subscription provides technical access within that entitlement; it does not transfer copyright, grant an unlimited data licence or authorize uses excluded by a record's rights information or the Content and Image License.
You are responsible for your integration, credentials, authorized users and compliance with applicable law. Protect API keys, revoke compromised credentials and do not resell credentials, evade quotas, circumvent access controls, impair the service or use obtained information unlawfully.
2. Billing and renewal
Stripe processes API subscription payments. It is not used for artwork purchases. A paid entitlement becomes available after the required verified payment confirmation. Monthly and annual plans renew for their stated billing periods unless cancelled in accordance with the available billing controls before renewal. The price, billing frequency, applicable taxes and renewal terms must be presented before subscription acceptance.
An annual billing period does not convert a monthly usage quota into a single annual pool. Unless the accepted plan expressly states otherwise, quota resets monthly and unused quota does not carry forward. An upgrade or downgrade takes effect as specified in the accepted plan change, including any disclosed proration.
You may manage or cancel renewal through the account's billing portal or contact info@relict.cloud for a billing-control malfunction. Cancellation ordinarily prevents the next renewal and leaves the already-paid entitlement available through the current period, unless termination for breach or another accepted rule applies. Price or material entitlement changes apply prospectively with required notice and assent; historical invoices and already accepted billing periods are not silently rewritten.
3. Refunds and billing errors
Except where applicable law or an express written agreement requires otherwise, there is no voluntary refund for a consumed subscription period, unused quota within that period or a decision not to use the API. Report duplicate charges, an incorrect amount or paid access that was not supplied to info@relict.cloud with the invoice or subscription reference. RELICT will review the records and correct an established billing error or service failure as required by the applicable agreement and law. Do not send complete card details by email.
4. Availability, changes and suspension
The API is provided as available. No uptime, response-time or uninterrupted-access commitment applies unless separately agreed in writing. RELICT may maintain, change or discontinue an endpoint and may restrict or suspend access for security, misuse, nonpayment or operational reasons. A suspension does not extinguish a lawful refund obligation for RELICT's own service. Where practicable, material changes affecting ordinary integration use will be communicated through available service channels.
5. Data and responsibility
Results may contain information supplied by artists, institutions or other third parties. API access does not constitute RELICT's authentication of a work or guarantee of the completeness, accuracy or availability of a third-party record. You must observe record-specific rights, attribution and reuse restrictions and maintain appropriate security for personal data received lawfully through the API.
RELICT's aggregate liability for API services is limited, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to the API subscription fees actually paid by the claimant during the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. The Terms of Use govern disclaimers, excluded losses, Delaware law, individual arbitration and the class-action waiver. The Privacy Policy describes subscription and usage-data processing.
